Reviews
access is long and difficult. parking limited. no running water. very small beach area, gets overrun with tourists quickly. However, it is a beautiful little part of the world.
With pods of dolphins swimming by and kangaroos coming down to the beach.
protected bay has no waves.
be careful of snakes. saw several.
What a stunning spot! Easy walk from daytime car park area with plenty of seating under trees. Water is perfection and great for the kids. Can’t wait to visit again when it’s less windy.
Incredible place to visit while in Jervis bay, family friendly and good for snorkeling too
It's a small, pretty bay with a sandy beach and seabed. Safe swimming place for families with young children. The campground has about 70 sites with mixed use for tents, swags, campervans, caravan's and camping trailers. The bay is sheltered from strong winds. There's a 50 minute walking trail to Target Beach, an extremely pretty and remote swimming place.
You will get good reviews but I’d say it is a good place for camping, but overall not worth wasting time here. Maybe it would be better during high tide but other than that, good for kids as it is a small bay.
You can spot Kangaroos here though.
We went to this place after reading good reviews but was very disappointed.
This has to be one of the most special camping places in NSW.
Accessible only at certain times (it's a live weapons range the rest of the time) it's worth the effort to either get their early on a Friday or go in to the ballot for high demand times such as Australia Day and New Year's etc.
The sites are well positioned and cater for all types of camping but they're not powered and you'll need to bring your own water. Fresh water is available at reception to fill up your containers.
The toilets are porta-loos that are emptied daily and are perfectly good. There are no showers but the sea works wonders!
The bay itself is stunning, especially at sunset and the swimming/snorkeling is wonderful. Heaps of wildlife and you might even see a kangaroo family in the evenings...
Amazing place. Beach is so lovely and water is so soft and clear. We camped there for 2 days. Great camping location but little difficult without bathrooms. You will need to take your own portable shower facility and be aware that you will be sharing portaloo with many people! Loved to walk along with Kangaroos fearlessly. Target beach is the treasure there! Not so good for snorkelling but great if kids want to try snorkelling.
The best beach I've ever been! Amazing! beautiful! Peaceful! Great for snorkeling, swimming, kaiak, and have a fun time with friends and family.
Just watch out for sharks and be careful.
